ATLANTA, March 16, 2010 –   Legend Tiger Woods’ fall from grace, and subsequent withdrawal from golf, left many fans reeling and corporate sponsors uncertain. Recently, however, Woods decided to return to the sport and that’s a good move according to Kent Matlock, CEO of Matlock  Advertising & Public Relations, a recognized leader in Brand Reputation.

In an interview with WSB-TV news reporter Jovita Moore, Matlock said that at the end of the day it is Woods’ talent that will keep him in the sponsorship game.

“Once Woods hits the course, the desire to see him back in golf will be much more meaningful than the need to punish him for his bad choices,” said Matlock. “Woods’ performance will help re-energize potential brand sponsors to consider him again.”

Woods will begin his 2010 PGA Tour season at the prestigious Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in April.
